EditShare highlights XStream shared storage

EditShare featured its XStream shared storage solution for broadcast and digital intermediate applications at IBC2008.

Combined with the company’s fifth generation administration, monitoring and workflow tools, XStream provides an open environment for creative teams to share media regardless of application and platform.

Users of Apple, Adobe, Assimilate, Autodesk, Avid, Digidesign, Sony and Thomson can connect via GigE or 10Gb Ethernet and freely share media regardless of size or format. As with the EditShare Storage Series, XStream offers workflow advantages within the XStream Workflow Director.

EditShare XStream supports SD and compressed HD video streams or multiple streams of uncompressed HD or 2K video. With its PCI-Express expansion architecture and a dedicated RAID card for every eight or 16 drives, the XStream provides reliability, high performance and scalability.
