Danmon Systems Group sees broadcast growth at IBC2008

Risskov, Denmark-based broadcast consultants Danmon Systems Group reported seeing a healthy and expanding market for high-end TV infrastructure during IBC2008.

According to Danmon Systems Group project director Peter Thomsen, the ongoing gradual expansion of the broadcast industry is fuelled by increased network profitability, which often results from expanding the number of output channels and new distribution platforms without adding a commensurate amount of staffing costs.

Danmon Systems Group also has seen greater use of IT-based hardware and software in all types and sizes of broadcast networks, he said.
