Cricket Wireless new video download mobile service gets personal by using QuickPlay’s OpenVideo media management platform

QuickPlay’s OpenVideo media management platform offers subscribers a personal service and on-demand content thanks to the Cricket’s new video download mobile service. QuickPlay's media management platform includes a content management and distribution system, reporting and analytics, and open APIs for ease of partner integration.

QuickPlay enables Cricket to offer subscribers:

  • Enhanced discovery featuring five top-level categories that allow customers to more easily sift through the large content library, as well as search by content name or description
  • Advanced personalization including “top videos” that are determined by the total number of downloads
  • Universal search and preview with universal content browsing that allows all Cricket customers to browse the portal and view video categories and clip listings, plus previewing that lets non-subscribers with video-enabled devices trial the service before prompting them to subscribe
