Chyron, Signum Bildtechnik announce technology integration for newsroom

Munich, Germany-based Signum Bildtechnik is integrating its product portfolio, which includes still store, clip, video and archiving solutions, with Chyron’s CAMIO newsroom asset management solution.

The project aims to streamline the delivery of newsroom graphics and gives journalists using Chyron's CAMIO interface as part of a newsroom client, such as Avid iNews, Dalet or ENPS, access to an archive of graphics material for inclusion in the program's rundown.

Items selected from the archive are automatically transferred into the CAMIO system and moved to the designated playout device without additional manual intervention. In addition, operators can use tools within the Signum system to modify the graphic image before inserting it into the story.
