BlackMagic Design Multibridge offers multifaceted conversion

When connected via PCI Express to a host computer for capture and playback, the Multibridge’s allows uncompressed capture and playback.

Well suited for post-production suites that work in both analog and digital, as well as SD and HD, the new Blackmagic Design Multibridge bi-directional converter converts analog equipment to SDI-based systems by simultaneously converting from digital to analog and analog to digital at the same time.

Based on high-speed PCI Express connections that are 25 percent faster than Firewire-based solutions, the Multibridge can be used as a high-quality converter or as a stand-alone editing system. Multibridge can be rack-mounted and used for converting analog equipment, such as Betacam SP decks or HDV cameras, in HD or SD.

When connected via PCI Express to a host computer for capture and playback, the Multibridge allows uncompressed capture and playback.
