Azden to unveil ENG wireless system at NAB2008

At NAB2008, Azden will unveil a newly redesigned lineup of electronic newsgathering (ENG) wireless equipment that operates in the 628MHz-662MHz band, which makes it compatible with next year’s DTV changeover.

The new 1200 Series UHF System features the 1200URX/Si, a slot-in receiver; the 1200URX/AB, a receiver with an Anton/Bauer Gold Mount; and the 1200URX/VM V-mount receiver. The company will also roll out the 1200BT bodypack transmitter and 1200XT plug-in transmitter.

Offering 188 digitally selectable UHF frequencies, the new receivers and transmitters include digital displays that provide information concerning signal strength, diversity antenna function and battery condition. All models include improved compander/expander circuitry, and the 1200XT provides 48V phantom power.
