Autocue announces newsroom production products, flat display panels

Autocue introduced several new products for news production at IBC2004, including QNews+, QScript and 12.1- and 18-inch flat display prompters (FDPs).

QNews+ offers a full range of newsroom production, automation, administration, and media management tools. From a single workstation, users can manage a system-wide contacts database, control any number of program rundowns, review scripts, browse and edit video.

QNews+ also allows users to manage media assets by providing integrated acquisition control, video clip management and media viewing in either from any workstation.

QScript removes paper scripting from the newsroom by allowing hand annotations to be added to scripts using a wireless touchscreen or tablet workstation and stylus.

The company’s 12.1-inch FDP comes complete with hood, glass, cabling and a universal mounting plate for fluid heads. It has composite and VGA inputs as well as a built-in 240-110AC power supply. The 18-inch FDP is ideal for use when the talent and position call for larger prompter displays.
