Australia’s ABC Television acquires Zandar Predator HD multiviewers

Australian national broadcaster ABC Television has purchased five Predator HD multiviewers from Zandar Technologies for use at its HD studio in Ultimo, New South Wales.

Four Predator HD4s and a Predator HD12 provide the Australian broadcaster with multiple image monitoring in various parts of the control room. All the systems are fed with HD-SDI sources and output to 32in LCD panels.

Zandar’s Predator HD4 accepts up to four HD or SDI inputs in 1RU, while the HD12 offers 12 inputs in a 2RU enclosure.

Independent broadcast technology supplier Techtel supplied the Predator HD multiviewers. Thomson Grass Valley integrated the units into the studio.
