All Utah routers now offer 3Gb/s capability

Looking to help its customers simplify their operations and save money, Utah Scientific announced that all of its UTAH-400 routing systems will include a 3Gb/s switching capability as a standard feature at no extra cost. This allows users to handle all video formats, including SD and HD formats up to 1080p, from within the same system.

The company, which gets the necessary IC circuitry from Gennum, also said it is now shipping a 3Gb/s optical I/O option for the UTAH-400 routers. With the integration of Gennum's new 3Gb/s optical module, Utah Scientific is now able to deliver a complete copper and optical solution at 3Gb/s, giving customers flexibility in their system configuration and support of a 3Gb/s single optical serial link.

All new UTAH-400 routing systems are 3Gb/s-enabled.Upgrade options will be available for existing UTAH-400 customers soon.
