Abilis Systems offers new mobile TV receiver for DVB-H/T apps

Abilis Systems is now shipping one the world’s smallest digital mobile TV receivers for DVB-H/T applications, the AS-101.

Produced in a 5mm x 5mm CSP package, the AS-101 integrates a multiband RF tuner, advanced OFDM demodulator, memory and interfaces onto a single 90nm CMOS die, with the receiver performance surpassing the MBRAI 2 and Nordig 1.0.3 specifications.

It is optimized for multiple mobile and handheld applications, enabling digital TV capability on any device with a display. It supports the integration of both DVB-H and DVB-T standards in mobile phones and portable media players, among other devices. A number of reference designs based on various applications processors have already been developed.
