TV Technology Is Looking for An Assistant Editor

ALEXANDRIA, VA.--TV Technology, the leading broadcast and media technology brand, is looking for an assistant editor to join our staff in Alexandria, Va. 
 
The ideal candidate will have interest in streaming and other digital media technology, television, radio, audio and/or other communications media, and can learn about and embrace technical topics. Experience in media technology is a plus.
 
Duties include:
Write, edit, blog, assign content for website, newsletters, special projects, shoot video and photos, participate in events, contribute and manage social media. Must have sparkling language and organizational skills, exacting attention to detail, knowledge of new digital publication platforms and comfort working with content management systems. Work well under deadlines; handle breaking news; knowledge of SEO. Represent our editorial department in interactions with newsmakers, manufacturers and advertisers. Manage freelance contributors including non-professional writers. Interact with production and web teams on graphic presentations. Create issue or section layouts for print. Develop photographs and other artwork. Know AP Style. Help lead an evolving content provider into the digital future. Two years’ experience preferred. Some travel required.
