Dielectric Receives 2003 Technology Award from SBE
At the Society of Broadcast Engineers national meeting in Marlborough, Mass., Dielectric Communications
will be awarded the SBE 2003 Technology Award for its TUV Dualband(TM) antenna. The TUV line of antennas allows a UHF and a VHF (either low, mid or high band) to share a common aperture, with both operating at full power.
"Only one SBE Technology Award is granted per year, and we are honored that the SBE chose our TUV Dualband antenna for the 2003 award," said Jay Martin, VP of Sales and Marketing at Dielectric. "We are committed to the advancement of broadcast technology, and this award, along with the early acceptance by broadcasters during the TUV's first year, validates the efforts of the Dielectric team in developing an antenna that is cutting-edge and has been received so well by the broadcast industry." noted that WKNO in Memphis ordered a TUV Dualband antenna in 2003. Russ Abernathy, director of television and technology at WKNO was pleased with it: "It was delivered on schedule, installed on schedule, and performed as advertised. Rather than side-mounting our new digital TV antenna, the Dualband antenna handles both the analog and digital signals all in the same package at the top of our tower."
