Alaska Public TV Selects Wheatstone For Audio
11/1/2004

Anchorage, AK--Alaska Public Telecommunications has ordered a Wheatstone Bridge audio network for its TV/radio dual-broadcasting facility in Anchorage. The combination of APRN’s 91.1 KSKA-FM and KAKM Channel 7 represents the recent 2004 merger of Alaska Public Radio Network with parent company APTI. Three Wheatstone Bridge digital audio network routers along with three satellite router cages will form an integrated audio infrastructure, which will allow any equipped studio unlimited access to a collective pool of audio feeds. The radio division purchased two Generation 3 compact control surfaces and three Generation 4 surfaces for live mixing and production use. Wheatstone’s D-9 digital television master control console with 5.1 digital surround and mix-minus clean feed outputs was selected for TV audio.
