Shure Promotes Avi Vaidya
He joined the mic maker in 2007
NILES, ILL. — Shure announced that Avi Vaidya, senior vice president of Product Development and chief technology officer has been promoted to executive vice president of Product Development and chief technology officer.
 
Avi Vaidya joined Shure in 2007 from Emerson Network Power, where he was vice president of Global Business Development. Before that, he worked for AT&T and Bell Laboratories for more than 14 years, where he held various engineering management positions.
 
In his more than 30 years of engineering management experience, Vaidya has been involved in the development and related processes of bringing new products to market, technology research, strategic planning, talent and leadership development, and building successful engineering organizations for large and mid-sized companies. Also, he was involved in collaborative research projects with the University of Wisconsin and the Illinois Institute of Technology.
 
Vaidya holds nine U.S. patents, has published numerous technical papers, and has received several awards for technical excellence. He has a Master of Engineering Electronics from the Netherlands Universities Foundation, a Master degree in Computer Science, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.

Just to add a more descriptive comment, this individual is indeed formally educated and shown to be fairly intelligent however utilizes a constant tyrannical and simplistic formula with regards to management. Using the poor employment market as leverage, he has repeatedly instituted threats to obtain obscenely longer working hours, contrary to the contrived surveys, with multiple levels of personnel while bypassing his direct reports. Honestly, I cannot recall an instance where he hasn’t so blatantly spoken down when addressing others to a level of astonishment. In addition to multiple instances of negating as well deceiving his directors and managers, management under him has on numerous occasions been spotted speaking in vain of his existence. There is an earnest fear of being caught in the same elevator as him. This individual is intelligent, not brilliant. Steve Jobs wasn’t a teddy bear boss however his brilliance made up for a lot. This individual is someone just intelligent enough to use various means to obtain further formal education. Zero charisma and innovativeness has been seen from him. His tenure has increased profit margins however at the cost of seasoned management and innovative talent loss as well a notable increase with quality issues. There’s some that pity him as only one that has endured a deep level of mental abuse themselves could so coldly, yet methodically instill such wickedness. The levels of callousness used cannot help but bring the president/CEO into moral questioning.

He is educated in everything technical. Unfortunately he knows very little of managing people, which is his job.
