Harris Corp. has begun shipping its first fully functional 3 Gbps routing systems. The capability is now standard on all of its HD routing systems through the Platinum and Platinum MX lines.
The Platinum routing switchers provide signal routing up to 128×128 in 9 RU, 256×256 in 15 RU and 512×512 in 28 RU, and support a variety of audio and video signals, from analogue to 3 Gbps HD-SDI, all in the same frame. Because all Platinum routers were designed with all internal paths 3 Gbps-capable from their inception, input, output and cross-point cards capable of passing 3 Gbps signals are available separately for shipment to existing Platinum HD-SDI router customers.
Harris offers 3 Gbps capability across its signal processing and distribution portfolio, including routing, conversion, fibre optics, signal monitoring, channel branding and T&M product line.
