| Freedom Forum’s Newseum Sets Opening Date |

After an absence of more than six years, the Freedom Foundation’s Newseum will again welcome visitors from its newly constructed Washington, D.C., location.
The Freedom Forum is billing the news-based museum as “the world’s most interactive museum,” and says that the new $450 million facility will officially open its doors to the public April 11.
The Newseum’s 14 galleries, 15 theatres and two broadcast studios are nearing completion in a specially constructed seven-story building overlooking the nation’s capitol building on Pennsylvania Avenue. The larger of the two studios measures in at 3,000 square feet, making it one of the largest facilities in the Washington area.
Grand opening ceremony events planned include a live broadcast of a portion of ABC’s “Good Morning America” from the site and free admission to all comers.
The original Newseum, which was located in Arlington, Va. closed its doors in 2002.
