ABS Names Mark Warner to VP Position

December 7, 2007

Advanced Broadcast Solutions (ABS), a Seattle-based broadcast systems integration firm, has appointed Mark Warner, former director of Microsoft Studios, as the company’s new vice president. Warner’s long-term duties will include managing the company’s headquarters and growing ABS’s business. For the short term, he will be responsible for assisting ABS as it helps its television station customers prepare for the 2009 digital transition.

“Mark’s background, personal style and expertise is exactly what we need to move ABS to the forefront of providers enabling companies with their IPTV and mobile TV delivery needs, television stations’ transition to digital and any organization looking to progress into a digital environment,” said Mark Siegel, ABS president. “I’m extremely optimistic about our future success with Mark on board. His 30-plus years in the broadcasting and new media businesses, providing cutting-edge solutions, award-winning programming and business leadership, offers our business and our customers unique and cost-effective insights.”

Warner said that he expected the firm’s business to double within the next two years.

In addition to his background with Microsoft, Warner was also director of broadcasting for RealNetworks, Louth Broadcast Automation and two Seattle television stations.
