Dielectric Communications has expanded testing capabilities at the company’s Raymond, Maine, facility.
Additions include a 60-foot tapered electromagnetic anechoic chamber, a 950-cubic-foot high-power passive intermodulation chamber and a 64-cubic-foot thermal chamber.
“Our new state-of-the-art testing equipment allows us to more fully isolate the variables that affect the performance of our antennas, filters and other components, thus enabling a better understanding of how they are performing and how they will operate at our customers’ sites,” said Dielectric President Garrett VanAtta. “Dielectric is committed to providing the highest-quality products at the most affordable cost, and our new testing facility really helps us in accomplishing this goal.”
The new anechoic chamber will allow Dielectric to evaluate performance of antennas in a controlled and reflection-free environment, without interference to testing programs caused by weather conditions or signal scattering and outside noise sources.
The thermal chamber can provide operational temperatures ranging from -35 to 150 degrees Celsius to evaluate product performance in temperature extremes.
