| CEA Taps Mrs. Brady for New DTV Awareness Campaign |

The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) has launched a new campaign to get the digital transition message across to senior citizens.
 The program is called “Convert Your Mom” and encourages baby boomers to spread the word to their parents about the changes that will be necessary to keep watching their favorite programs off-air. The CEA has engaged actress Florence Henderson from “The Brady Bunch” 1969-1974 television series to kick off the public awareness campaign. It will begin with a satellite media tour in early May hosted by Henderson, and will include a downloadable DTV preparedness tip list and transition guide.
The initiative will inform off-air viewers that there are several options available for continued access to broadcast television programming, including the purchase of a new DTV receiver or set top converter box.
“CEA’s member companies have filled retail stores with a wide assortment of affordable digital TV products, from low-cost digital televisions to converter boxes and antennas that are easy to hook up to existing analog TV sets,” said Gary Shapiro, CEA president and CEO. “We know that one of the best ways to reach seniors is through their families. With ‘Convert Your Mom’ we’re asking baby boomers to help make sure everyone is ready well in advance.”
