Tower Worker Dies in Fall from KOLN/KGIN Tower
A tower worker died early this week when he fell 1,200 feet from the KOLN/KGIN transmitter tower west of Lincoln, Nebraska. KALB.com, in the June 17 staff article Tower Death said authorities believe a faulty harness system may have been responsible for the death. The worker, 22 year-old Carlos Munoz, was employed by SpectraSite Broadcast Group. He was part of a crew reinforcing the KOLN/KGIN tower after installation of a DTV antenna.
