Thomson to Supply Transmitters to Russian Network
Under an agreement announced last week, Russian company Almaz Antey Telecommunications and the former Thales Broadcast and Multimedia, now part of France's Thomson Corp., will form a joint venture to provide Russian state-owned Russian Television and Radio Network with digital TV and radio network equipment.

Under the agreement, Thales will provide equipment and technology to the joint venture, with Almaz Antey Telecommunications providing the necessary production facilities, installation capabilities and logistical support in Russia.
