Saudi Arabia: TSL, Grass Valley, EVS, Studer Tapped for HD Sports
Television Systems Ltd., a systems integrator based in the United Kingdom, has signed an outside broadcast contract with the Arab Radio and Television Network to supply two fully equipped HD field trucks and a couple of accompanying trailers for ART's planned sports coverage.

The trucks will each be fitted with as many as 20 HD cameras and configured initially with six channels of EVS XT2, four VTRs, one Grass Valley Kayak HD production switcher, and a Studer Vista 5 digital audio console. The integrated trailer system will feature dual-redundant generators, according to ArabianBusiness.com.

ART has been awarded broadcast rights for the 2007-08 Saudi Football League, which it plans to cover in HD for global distribution.

TSL is also building a major HD production facility in Kuwait for Al Watan TV, according to the report.
