Satellite Update - Nov. 24, 2008
From FCC Report SAT-00566
and the FCC IBFS
The FCC granted a request from Mobile Satellite Ventures Subsidiary LLC to transmit command signals to its MSV-1
satellite using 12,751 MHz and 13,249 MHz, and to transmit telemetry data from MSV-1 using 11,201 MHz and 11,202 MHz.
MSV was allowed to use 11,446.25 MHz and 11,448.25 MHz for transmit power control beacon purposes. MSV-1 will use L-band (1.6 GHz) frequencies to communicate with earth stations.
Intelsat North America was given permission to provide fixed satellite services (FSS) using conventional C- and Ku-band frequencies from Galaxy 25
at 93.1 degrees west longitude (WL). Intelsat was granted special temporary authority to begin drifting Galaxy 25
from 97 W.L. to 93.10 W.L., and to operate the TT&C frequencies of the satellite at 93.10 W.L.
