Satellite Update – Nov. 14, 2008
From FCC Report SAT-00563:
  • The FCC granted EchoStar Corp.'s request for special temporary authority (STA) allowing EchoStar to maintain its EchoStar 8 satellite at the 77 degree west longitude (WL) orbital location and to operate it at that location for 180 days, commencing on Oct. 31, 2008.
  • ORBCOMM License Corp. was allowed to continue testing and evaluation of dynamic operational use of two alternative 50 kHz gateway earth station downlink channels centered on 137.225 MHz and 137.695 MHz for 60 days commencing on Oct. 14, 2008.
