PSIP and Closed Captioning University
ATSC is conducting a seminar for TV-station engineers, operators and other persons involved with DTV distribution to provide tutorial information and hands-on applications details on PSIP and closed captioning. With equipment manufacturers and others urging the FCC to adopt rules requiring proper transmission of PSIP information with DTV signals, broadcast engineers need to be familiar with the standards and technology.

The seminar will take place October 22 - 23, 2003 at the Embassy Suites, 1900 Diagonal Road, Alexandria, Virginia. The cost is $600 and includes program materials on paper and CD-ROM, a textbook on PSIP, breakfasts, lunches, breaks and a reception. For more details see www.atsc.org/seminars.html. A draft copy of the program is also available.
