Tektronix will provide its WFM700 waveform monitors, WVR7100 rasterizers and TG700 multi-format video generators for NBC Universal's coverage of the 2006 Winter Olympics from Torino, Italy, Feb. 10-26. The equipment will provide monitoring and control capabilities for the production, post-production, distribution and transmission of HD (1080i) digital video and digital audio content.

The WFM700 series multi-format, multi-standard waveform monitors incorporate the firm's Diamond, Arrowhead and Lightning gamut monitoring displays, session and status screens, a user-configurable multi-mode display, and eye and jitter measurements configurable for both full field or line select, as well as tools to enable faster error detection.

The Olympics will be aired across virtually all NBC Universal networks, including the NBC broadcast network, Telemundo, MSNBC, CNBC, USA and Bravo.
