News Flash: Fans Want Full HD Super Bowl Experience
A study conducted by International Communications Research on behalf of Comcast shows that HDTV has become a critical element of the "Super Bowl experience", alongside food and friends. No details of the study methodology were reported.

The lighthearted study is reported to indicate that favorite types of play to be seen in HD include touchdown passes and interception returns. Favorite elements of the experience besides the game itself included the halftime show, instant replays, and cheerleaders.

We didn't need a study to tell us that sports is a big driver of both HDTV and big-screen television, nor do we need one to tell us that HD has become a big selling point for cable.
