NAB Schedules Satellite Uplink Training Seminar for Sept. 27
NAB will hold its annual Satellite Uplink Training Seminar at its Washington D.C. headquarters Sept. 27-30. The course will be conducted by Norman Weinhouse of Norman Weinhouse Associates, with Sidney Skjei, P.E. of Skjei Telecom, Inc. attending as a guest instructor. The two instructors have over 50 years combined experience with satellite communications systems. The course will be based on a 200-page textbook written by Weinhouse.

The purpose of the seminar is to train satellite uplink operators, engineers and engineering managers in uplink operational practices. During the seminar participants will learn about satellite communications systems, equipment, operating guidelines and safety and interference management techniques.
