Multimedia Polska Selects Tandberg Encoders
Multimedia Polska is using HD and SD MPEG-4 AVC encoding solutions and IP EdgeQAM modulators from Tandberg Television for its new digital cable HD services for Poland.

The HD service is being launched with two-way capability, allowing Multimedia Polska to offer additional interactive services in the future.

Tandberg is providing EN8090 MPEG-4 AVC SD and EN8030 MPEG-4 AVC HD/SD ultracompression broadcast encoders, as well as an EdgeQAM system for remote modulation of IP streams.

"The launch of HDTV services is the next stage of our deployment of a major media service for Poland. We are committed to providing a sophisticated multimedia platform and Tandberg Television's MPEG-4 AVC encoders enable us to launch HD with high bandwidth efficiency from an advanced compression system from the offset," stated Bartlomiej Kasinski, strategy and development director at Multimedia Polska.
