Media 100 Via Lumière HD Supports HDV
SD and HD editing system Media 100 HD is now compatible with high definition video (HDV) through Lumière HD .

Using a Lumiere HD codec, Media 100 HD users can shoot projects using HDV without the need for extra hardware or more time to shoot and convert content to HD.

"Lumière HD is the missing link in getting HDV material rapidly and easily from an HDV camera to an editing system," said Frederic Haubrich, president of Point Pleasant, N.J.-based Lumiere.

Haubrich said that Lumière HD supports HDV cameras from JVC and Sony, including the Sony HDR-FX1, a 1080i HDV camera.
