Media 100 Launches Mac-based HD Editing System
Media 100--a unit of Optibase--has released an HD editing system for Mac users, Media 100 HD.

The 10-bit system edits in SD and HD and allows users to mix uncompressed and compressed media as well as 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios in the same timeline.

Media 100 HD is shipping with the Media 100 version 10. Features include a timeline with up to 99 tracks, a software codec that supports real-time full motion alpha channels and real-time RGB color correction.
