MBC Invests in Synergy Multi-Def Switcher
The MBC Group in Dubai has invested in a Ross Synergy 3 MD-X production switcher to upgrade their facility to high-definition.

MBC also selected Salam Media Cast Dubai to supply, install and integrate the switcher, which will interface and control Sony VTRs and a router. It is also equipped to control the Avid iNews System and Avid Airspeed for playout and ingest.

"We are confident with our decision to go with Ross for our HD upgrade," said Omran Abdallah, senior broadcast manager at MBC.

"We are pleased the MBC group has invested in Synergy multi-definition technology for their upgrade," said Saeid Nejad, regional sales manager for the Middle East and North Africa at Ross Video. "The Synergy 3 MD-X is a great choice for demanding newscasts. Synergy is equipped with a full set of device interfaces making it easy to streamline productions and provides integrated control over the equipment in the studio."
