LGE Unveils LCD HD Monitor
LG Electronics' 22-inch Flatron LCD computer monitor (model M228WA), billed by LGE as the top of the heap in its M8W series, will be suitable for both computing and TV-like HD video.

The 16:9 monitor provides 1680x1050 resolution, a contrast ratio of 3000:1, and a 5 ms response time. Two 3-watt stereo speakers are built into the monitor and provide better-than-normal audio for built-in units, according to Engadget.

Port options include HDMI, DVI, S-Video, component, composite, and VGA. LGE said it devised the monitor to provide as much versatility and accessibility as possible for an array of devices such as DVD players, VCRs, game consoles and home camcorders. Its widescreen Flatron M8W series was designed to optimize the benefits of Windows Vista.
