Leader Test for Vietnamese OB Trucks
Four Leader test instruments have been chosen by Madrid-based systems integrator Broad Telecom SA (BTESA) for installation in two three-camera digital production trucks for delivery to two provincial television stations in Vietnam: Hagiang TV and Yenbai TV. Each production truck is equipped with one Leader LV5100D digital component waveform monitor and one 5861V PAL waveform monitor. The Leader instruments are housed above a vision engineering area combining camera control and vision mixing. The two vehicles will be used to cover a wide variety of news-related, cultural and sports-related events throughout their respective provinces in close cooperation with Vietnam Television (VTV).

"Leader's LV5100D and 5861V were an ideal choice for this application," comments BTESA Engineering Director José Manuel Alpiste. "The LV5100D provides all the features needed to check colour balance and signal purity. It is reliable, robust and easy to use. The instruments also have a very small footprint which was of high importance given the compactness of the vehicle. The 5861V waveform monitors will be used to monitor the amplitude, timing and frequency response of the composite transmitter feed."
