Hanabi HD-SD Switcher Bound for Toronto Production House
Sim Video a video production rental house has purchased a Hanabi HVS-1000HS one mix-effect switcher from For-A . Sim Video, which provides professional broadcast equipment to companies throughout North America, said it chose the switcher for its versatility and cost-effective features.

Sim Video said because some of its customers have not yet made the transition to HD, the rental house wanted a switcher that could work in serial digital standard definition, as well as in high definition.

The Hanabi M/E switcher supports 1080i and 720p, as well as SD formats. A DVE card comes pre-installed on the HVS-1000HS and an additional card can be installed for increased flexibility. The switcher comes standard with eight inputs, and can be configured for up to 16. The HVS-1000HS is For-A's third generation HD-SD switcher.
