FCC Plans Open Meeting on DTV Transition
Thursday, the FCC announced it will hold an Open Meeting in one week, on Feb. 5.

The meeting is unusual in that the sole topic is the DTV transition. Presentations are planned by senior FCC officials, industry representatives, consumer groups and others involved in the transition.

The FCC said that the meeting’s purpose was to educate and inform both the Commission and the public about the DTV transmission status and associated issues.

As with previous Open Meetings, audio will be available at www.fcc.gov/realaudio.
