FCC Announces Comment Deadline for Eighth Further DTV NPRM
The DTV transition Seventh Report and Order and Eighth Further Notice of Proposed Rule making (NPRM) was published in the Federal Register Sept. 10, 2007. This sets the deadline for filing comments as Oct. 10, 2007. Reply comments are due on or before Oct. 25, 2007.

The FCC Public Notice announcing the dates explains that the Eighth Further NPRM sought comment on the DTV channels and technical facilities the FCC proposes to assign to several new TV broadcast permittees that recently attained permittee status. In addition, the Eighth Further NPRM sought comment on other proposals for revisions for the DTV Table of Allotments adopted in the Seventh Report and Order.
