Europe: Netvue, Exterity Demo Live HD via IPTV
Netvue featured live HD content at a recent technology event in a central area of downtown London when a satellite-fed channel was captured by Exterity’s DVB-S TV gateway and distributed as IPTV on a local area network It was then received and decoded by Exterity HD receivers.

Netvue also showed what it said was “full HD H.264 video IPTV encoding” from Exterity’s first production HD IPTV encoder. Netvue said the fact that it can now demonstrate HD over IPTV with a single TV gateway and HD receiver shows how far IPTV technology has progressed.

“HD television feeding into public displays and digital signage can really drive home a lasting impression to customers and visitors,” said Exterity CEO Colin Farquhar in a statement.
