Ennes Workshop at NAB 2004
With NAB 2004 only four months away, information on technical programs at the Las Vegas broadcast convention is starting to appear. SBE described the Ennes Workshop Planned for NAB2004. Fred Baumgartner, Ennes Trustee, organized the April 17 (Saturday) workshop and will be the lead moderator, assisted Andrea Cummis of Oxygen Network and Bill Hayes from Iowa Public TV (who writes the monthly "Digital Journal" for TV Technology).

The program is titled, "It's an IT World -- Converting Broadcast Operations to an Information Technology Platform." Full NAB registration is required to attend the session.

According to the NAB Broadcast Engineering Conference web site, "The ATSC Digital Television University" will also be held Saturday. Gary Shapiro will keynote the engineering conference with a talk titled, "Broadcasting in the Balance - A Consumer Technology Perspective." Gary Shapiro is president and CEO of the Consumer Electronics Association.
