Denver Lookout Mountain TV Tower Finished
KUSA-TV reported on its Web site this week that the new DTV tower on Lookout Mountain west of Denver has been finished and is now nearing operational status.

After all of the controversy surrounding construction of the tower, I saw no mention of the tower’s completion on the Canyon Area Residents for the Environment Web site, one of the groups actively opposing construction of the tower. The Web site focused on opposition to tower construction at the Mount Morrison tower site. Rocky Mountain News didn’t mention the completion of the tower construction either; the last mention was in a letter to the editor.

The 740-foot Lookout Mountain tower literally took an act of Congress to get approved after years of delays. It will support DTV antennas for the Lake Cedar Group of TV stations, channels 4, 7, 9 and 20. KUSA-TV (channel 9) said the new tower is expected to be operational in late spring of this year.

The Best Deconstruction of a 4K Shoot You'll Ever Read
With higher resolutions and larger HD screens, wide shots using very wide lenses can be a problem because they allow viewers to see that infinity doesn’t quite resolve into perfect sharpness.
