Delphi using Microtune MT2067 in Car TV Systems
Delphi, one of the world's largest OEM automotive electronic system suppliers, will be using Microtune's new MT2067 chip tuner in factory-installed front and rear seat entertainment systems. As previously discussed in RF Report, the MT2067 has dynamic range and AGC characteristics optimized for mobile DTV applications and is designed to handle the tough automotive environment.

"We have enjoyed a long-term relationship with the company as an RF component supplier. Delphi adopted our new automotive TV tuner based not only on our past successful collaboration, but also because of our recognized position as the industry leader in TV tuner-chip electronics."

Although the MT2067 supports all global TV receiver platforms (NTSC, PAL, SECAM, DVB-T, DVB-H, ISDB-T, DTMB, ATSC and candidate standard ATSC M/H), these Delphi entertainment systems are targeted for Europe and Japan. I'll be looking for ATSC M/H based systems once the standard is finalized and US stations begin transmitting ATSC M/H programs.
