CES 2007: TDK Says 200 GB Blu-ray Discs Coming
Fifty GB Blu-ray discs are coming first to a merchant or Web site near you, but TDK is reportedly previewing a 200 GB Blu-ray disc, which the company claims has enough storage to hold as much as 18 hours of HD, encoded at 24 Mbps.

TDK is not yet saying when such a disc may be commercially available, according to published reports.

TDK is also touting 8cm Mini Blu-ray discs with a capacity of 16.5 GB (using a single-layer). Blu-ray minis eventually will be available in BD-R and BD-RE formats.
