Canada: Rogers Expands HD Coverage of Three Sports
Rogers Cable of Canada is adding three additional HD channels to its Super Sports Pak and NHL Center Ice packages, starting immediately. Subs for the Super Sports Pak have already begun receiving more HD content with Rogers' expanded coverage of NHL hockey and NCAA college basketball, the company said.

Rogers currently offers 31 HD channels, including what it says in a statement are 15 HD "free" channels for signing onto its digital tier. Rogers' sports coverage also will include 19 American college bowl games in HD, starting on Dec. 20 with the New Orleans Bowl. In all, there are two dozen bowl games in the next few weeks in the United States, most of them being broadcast in HD by Rogers, and by various American networks.
