ATI, Samsung to Cooperate on Next-Generation DTV Products
Samsung's DTV set-top boxes have a reputation as having one of the better off-air DTV tuners. The company announced an agreement with ATI Technologies Inc. announced to jointly develop Samsung's next generation of DTV platforms. The new Samsung DTV's will use ATI's XILLEON and NXTWAVE chips.

Geoff Phillips, VP and General Manger of ATI's digital television business unit commented, "ATI has a longstanding successful relationship with Samsung. We're proud to continue our great work together with these upcoming digital television products. As a recognized leader in the consumer product marketplace, SAMSUNG has the world class expertise to take advantage of ATI's technology in its digital television products. Our collaborative efforts will deliver amazing visual quality and performance for television consumers."
