Amazon Ends Deal on Both Next-Gen DVD Titles
Amazon.com, which is busy this week racking up its sales numbers from one of its busiest weekends and single days for online shopping (Cyber Monday, Nov. 26), ended its most recent sales deal of HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc titles on Black Friday weekend.

In a DVD sale that encompassed more eligible titles than usual for such deals (as well as video content from a wider array of studios), Amazon’s promotion continued through Black Friday weekend. The giant online retailer had been offering every third next-gen disc title for free.

The buy-2-get-1-free discount was limited to three copies of the same title per customer and affected about 100 titles, including movies Disney, Warner Bros., Paramount and other shops that favor one disc format over the other, or continue to issue content in both formats.
