‘Transformers’ Bumps ‘Snow White’ From Blu-ray Lead
"Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" unceremoniously pushed the far less destruction-conscious Snow White from her short-lived perch atop the Blu-ray Top 10, and also taking the romantic comedy "The Proposal" down to the third slot.

A second title first released to movie houses in the 1930s-such as Snow White--remained in the Blu-ray Top 10 as did "The Wizard of Oz," which hung in at number eight.

Here are the Top 10 Blu-ray title sales for the week ending Oct. 24, according to Rentrak:
  1. "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" (Paramount)
  2. "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" (Disney)
  3. "The Proposal" (Disney)
  4. "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" (20th Century Fox)
  5. "Monsters vs. Aliens" (Paramount)
  6. "Drag Me to Hell" (Universal)
  7. "Transformers" (Paramount)
  8. "The Wizard of Oz - 70th Anniversary Edition" (Warner Bro.)
  9. "Land of the Lost" (2009, Universal)
  10. "Blood: The Last Vampire" (Sony Pictures)

With higher resolutions and larger HD screens, wide shots using very wide lenses can be a problem because they allow viewers to see that infinity doesn’t quite resolve into perfect sharpness.
