ZDF selects Clear-Com intercom systems for new communications hub

Clear-Com Communication Systems will supply nine Eclipse Digital Matrix intercom systems to German public broadcaster ZDF. ZDF, with the assistance of systems integrator Studio Hamburg MCI, will install the Eclipse Matrix units in a new multistudio broadcasting facility to be built during the next 36 months.

The Eclipse Matrix units will be integrated in the facility in seven separate installments. Among the first of these will be the creation of two studios, one of which will feature three Eclipse Matrix units linked over redundant fiber lines, creating a common communications environment for all ZDF employees.
