WXOW, WQOW upgrade to digital

Quincy Newspapers is upgrading WXOW-ABC (and DTV sub-channel WXOW-CW) in La Crosse, WI, and WQOW-ABC (and DTV sub-channel, WQOW-CW) in Eau Claire, WI, to digital using technology from Harris.

The stations will rely on Harris server-based master control and production rooms. The control room build-out includes Harris NX4000TXS transmission servers, Integrator Gold wideband digital multirate routers, Panacea small routers and a variety of 6800+ and NEO signal processing modules under the control of the CCS Pilot software application and the NUCLEUS network control panel.

The production room build-out will be completed next month.
