WXIA gets Wheatstone routers and controllers

NBC affiliate WXIA-TV 11 upgraded its on-air control room and a second production control room with Wheatstone D5.1 and D9 digital audio control surfaces and routers. The Gannett-owned station will be installing the Wheatstone Bridge Router with multiple I/O frames throughout the facility. All mixing, processing and routing is handled by the Bridge system. The D5.1 and D9 act as control surfaces for the two control room locations. All audio sources and their associated control can be shared by both locations. The system is scheduled to ship in September.
