WPGH-TV and WCWB-TV install ad revenue management software

Pittsburgh, Pa., Fox and WB network affiliates, WPGH-TV and WCWB-TV, have installed Agentsmith software designed to optimize ad inventory pricing and increase sales productivity.

Developed by Baltimore-based Agentsmith, the software, called RevenueMax, allows stations and other media outlets to better manage the transactions that typically accompany the buying and selling of ad time.

WPGH General Manager Alan Frank said Agentsmith is the only company in the marketplace that has developed a true revenue management and sales solution, created for the television industry to use in real-time.

RevenueMax includes two primary components: A revenue flow and advertiser analysis that incorporates historical, current, and pending sales information; and an electronic sales proposal and inventory optimization application designed to increase sales productivity and provide comprehensive price management analysis.
